Know what the City filed against your building before it becomes a problem.
PropNotice watches City records for your buildings, tells the right person what changed, and keeps the proof until the City clears it.
Monitored sources today: DOB · DEP · HPD · 311 · FDNY · NYSDEC · OATH
An illustration of the PropNotice dashboard: headline figures for overdue items, open violations and deadlines due within ninety days; a proportional bar showing how open work is distributed across overdue, seven, thirty and ninety day horizons; and buildings ranked by risk with chips for overdue days, unassigned work and outstanding balance. Figures are illustrative.
What you get
Every agency in one place
HPD, DOB, OATH and 311 in a single timeline per building, each record still labelled with the agency that issued it.
Deadlines before they bite
Hearings, permit expiry and correct-by dates, flagged weeks ahead rather than the week they land.
Proof the work was done
Send a contractor a work order by link. Photos, materials and a signature come back and stay on the record.
Built for a team
Roles, per-building access and a full history of who changed what — so an audit has an answer.
How it works
Five steps. The longest part is waiting for the first check to finish.
- Step 1
Create your account and company
You need an email address. There is no password to choose — we send you a code.
- Step 2
Search for your building's address and select it
Type the address and pick the building from the list. Borough, ZIP and the official identifiers are filled in from City records. Adding several? Paste a list or upload a file.
- Step 3
Let the first check finish, then review records and deadlines
The first check gathers what the agencies have already published for your building. It takes a few minutes. Until it finishes, the property shows "Checking" rather than zero.
- Step 4
Confirm who receives alerts
Check the recipient list before you rely on it. Alerts go only to the people named there, and you can set a different list per property.
- Step 5
Track changes and manage corrective work
New records and approaching deadlines appear on your dashboard. Raise a work order to assign a repair and keep the evidence in one place.
Official sources, cited on every record
Every record links back to the agency that issued it, with the date we last checked. Coverage varies by source, and some records need a manual lookup.
Everything is labelled by where it came from: official data from an agency, PropNotice calculations such as severity and deadline counts, and information you or your team entered.
- DOB5 feeds
- DEP2 feeds
- HPD2 feeds
- 3111 feed
- FDNY1 feed
- NYSDEC1 feed
- OATH1 feed
- FDNY
- FDNY-issued summonses are monitored through OATH. Inspection and permit records held in FDNY Business are checked manually — PropNotice links to the official lookup and does not monitor it.

Optional text message alerts — $15 a month
Email alerts and monitoring are free and always included. Add texts for $15 a month per organization, including 200 message segments shared across every building and everyone you alert.
- Each person opts in themselves. You invite them by email; only the recipient can confirm it. Nobody is texted until they have.
- Reply STOP to end at any time, or HELP for help. Message and data rates may apply, and message frequency varies with activity at your buildings.
- No automatic overage charges and no automatic recharge. If the allowance runs out, texts pause until it renews — email alerts and monitoring carry on.
- Cancel whenever. A separate monthly add-on, never bundled into a building plan and never required to use PropNotice.
See the SMS terms and privacy policy. We never sell or share phone numbers or messaging consent.
PropNotice is monitoring and workflow software. It is not a government agency, law firm, expeditor, architect, engineer or other licensed professional, and it does not provide legal or professional advice. Government records change frequently and public data feeds can be delayed, incomplete or corrected after publication. You must verify critical deadlines, penalties and legal obligations directly with the issuing agency or a qualified professional before acting.
